Hillinger Grüner Veltliner 1,0 l is a dry and single-origin expanded Grüner Veltliner. This white wine from the Leo Hillinger winery comes from Burgenland in Austria. Grüner Veltliner from Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland, to be more precise, brings a wonderfully fresh and spicy drinking pleasure with it. In the glass the wine shows a light, straw yellow color with greenish reflections. Due to the bouquet, a fine scent of green apples and spicy pepper notes typical of the grape variety unfolds in the nose. With a fine fruity note on the palate, the Hillinger Veltliner is juicy and fresh.
Versatile as a meal accompaniment, the wine is traditionally served with Wiener Schnitzel, but also with light dishes such as salads and fish.
Leo Hillinger winery.
The architecturally extraordinary Leo Hillinger winery is imposing in the middle of the Jois vineyards with a view of Lake Neusiedl. Leo Hillinger was born into a traditional family of wine merchants. After various viticulture schools and numerous internships in other European countries, he moved to California at the age of 19, where he continued to work on the vinification of quality wines. During this time, he began to deal with the natural cultivation of the vineyards, which is what distinguishes Hilinger's work today. In 1990 he took over his father's business and began to reform it according to his ideas.
Hillinger repeatedly abandons traditional paths in favor of creative innovations and thus impresses a steadily growing number of wine lovers.
